🇬🇧:They say life is better by the ocean… and while that might be true for some, it’s not necessarily true for me. Don’t get me wrong, I looove walking along the shore, smelling the salty ocean air and admiring the beauty of the Pacific, but that comes with some drawbacks as well. When we lived in Laguna Beach, the weather was often foggy and overcast (especially in the winter) and it would only clear up later in the afternoon. While in places that are just 20-25 minutes inland it’s pretty much always sunny and significantly warmer. Take today for example: the high is 24C inland but only 19C on the beach. And since I love to chase the sun all year long, I drive to the beach when I want to and enjoy clear skies and summer like weather the rest of the time.

🇮🇹: Si dice che la vita la si goda di più se spesa in riva al mare… ma se questa affermazione potrebbe risultare vera per alcuni, non è necessariamente vera per me. Non fraintendetemi, adoro camminare sul bagnasciuga, annusare l’aria salmastra dell’oceano e ammirare la bellezza del Pacifico, ma questo comporta anche alcuni inconvenienti. Quando vivevamo a Laguna Beach, il cielo era spesso coperto e nuvoloso (soprattutto in inverno) e si schiariva solo più tardi nel pomeriggio. Mentre invece in luoghi che si trovano a soli 20-25 minuti nell’entroterra è praticamente sempre soleggiato e significativamente più caldo. Prendete oggi come esempio: la massima è 24C nell’entroterra ma solo 19C sulla spiaggia. E siccome io amo inseguire il sole e il caldo tutto l’anno, scelgo di guidare verso la spiaggia quando mi va, ma di godermi cieli limpidi e temperature estive per il resto del tempo.
